Company Profile Located in the San Francisco Bay Area, with the high-tech Silicon Valley nearby, Davis Instruments handles all customer service, product development, and manufacturing and assembly on site. Founded in 1963 by Bill Davis, it was purchased six years later by Bob Selig and Jim Acquistapace. At the time, the company offered just thirteen products — including innovative plastic sextants and yachting speedometers.
