I don't know with others, but these are the steps i follow when i clean my sail: -i clean it on a smooth surface -like what you're doing, i also use a mild soap & fresh water -i use a brush w/ soft bristles for removing salt water, salt, and dirt. -i dont use bleach, it'll definitely damage the fabric! believe me. -dry it well. hang it in a well-ventilated area. -when it's dry, keep it away from direct heat.

Clean your sail by spreading it over a large clean area or you can simply immerse it in a lukewarm area inyour bath tub. Like what was mentioned above, u have 2 use a soft brush and a mild soap, and never clean it through a washing machine. And keep in mind that when scrubbing it, it has to be done in line with the seams. After that, rinse it with warm water. Then hang it out to dry. fold it only when it's COMPLETELY dry already!

Hi there.
I was also experiencing that kind of problem.
However, the cleaning of the boat also depends on the type of fabric used in your sail.
Their suggestions are good but it is better to have it dry-cleaned. It
may cost more bucks but if you want to really get it white and with
less damage, have it dry cleaned.

i have a very simple method:
For roughly 12 hours, soak the sail in lukewarm water + laundry soap!
And about 2 to 4% bleach+water solution for areas that are stained.
Rinse & hang to dry!
