as for me, i plan and make money before sailing and i only do it for vacation purposes. only few sailors make money when traveling.. but i know of ppol from different countries who made money on land, then retired and went cruising for the rest of their lives. Good Luck!

thanks! What does a person cruising exactly do to earn money at sea? are there options like to teach sailing, charter, take tourists to deep sea fishing, etc.? i know that even if u can manage to live practically & cheap when sailing, u still need to earn regularly.. so, u're using your sailing talent and boat to earn money in what ways?

okay. no plenty of work needed.. find a local trade school. thats it, become certified in several trades related to boats, of course. trades are better when u're out cruising, it's true! so again, read books and do some research! that's the real key.

Sailing does not only keep me spending money... I also earn money by advising and being a ship consultant. But, I also spend money in sailing. But the satisfaction is worth the money and all the investment.

Well, I do not sail for money. It is only for family time and recreation. But I would advice that sailing is a big plan. You can first save enough money before sailing. If you already have your own boat, there are still more stuffs to consider.
