i recently bought a good quality, boat safety knife with a serrated knife. where do u think is the best place to store it on board for easy access? and another thing, what is the best thing i can do to look after it? like, how can i maintain it to keep it sharp & rust-free?

well, 1 knife was never enough for me. try to get some more and keep them in different areas of the boat. i always keep one knife handy on my belt/hip, attached to me all the time. because for me, if ders anything that needs to be cut right away, i gotta be the one to do it. sounds like an old school habit, yes, but knives must always come in handy, right? well, just like flashlights, u dnt really know why u got lots of them til u start needing them.

as for d knife's maintenance, get a large and good quality sharpening stone & apply a very thin coat of oil in it. and keep it off from salt water too.
