Field Wins US Championship of Champions
TUESDAY, 31 OCTOBER 2006
Alan Field, the Martin 242 North American champion, together with his crew Steven Hunt won the US Championship of Champions last Saturday at Grande Maumelle Sailing Club in Little Rock, Arkansas.
During the first part of the race, C-Scow national champion Augie Barkow was on the lead. However, Barkow finished third during the last day while Matt Burridge, Lightning North American champion, took the second place.
The US Championship of Champions started in 1976 and is a part of the US SAILING's National Adult Championships series.
