The world's largest sailing catamaran, the Douce France, is up for a major refit at the New Zealand Yachts.
The Douce France which measures 42 meters by 28 meters currently holds the record for being the world's largest sailing catamaran. However, it will soon lose its title to Gemini, a 145' luxury catamaran, which will be launched in 2008.

Stamm Still Leads Velux 5 Oceans Race |

Bernard Stamm from Germany has already reached the Kerguelen Islands, leading the Velux 5 Oceans Race fleet by 960 miles.

Pollak Wins King Power Raceboard World Title |

Patrik Pollak from Slovakia emerged as the winner in the King Power Raceboard World Championships 2006 held from November 18 - 25 at Pattaya, Thailand.
Pollak was followed by Riccardo Giordano from Italy and Tak Sum Wond from Hong Kong in second and third places, respectively. Navin Singsart from Thailand and Maro Andreuccetti from Italy rounded up the top five.

Fernando Echavarri and his crew Anton Paz from Spain has won the Lars Grael Trophy during the ISAF Grade C1 Tornado South Americans held in San Isidro, Argentina last Sunday, November 26.

Golding Rescues Thomson in the Southern Ocean |

Alex Thomson, 32, had to abandon his yacht Hugo Boss after its canting keel failed while sailing in the Southern Ocean. Mike Golding, 46, who was 80 miles due west had to go back and fetch Thomson. The two skippers had to set aside their rivalry in the Velux 5 Oceans race for safety reasons.
