THURSDAY, 30 NOVEMBER 2006
The world's largest sailing catamaran, the Douce France, is up for a major refit at the New Zealand Yachts.
The Douce France which measures 42 meters by 28 meters currently holds the record for being the world's largest sailing catamaran. However, it will soon lose its title to Gemini, a 145' luxury catamaran, which will be launched in 2008.
Two years ago, Douce France began a world tour in Europe. Next year, it will be in the Pacific and it will proceed to the Indian Ocean in 2008.
