Top Placers in Syndey Regatta's 2nd Day
MONDAY, 18 DECEMBER 2006
The second day of the Grade One Steve Jarvin Motors Sydney International Regatta ended yesterday with good performances coming from all the nine racing fleets.
Tom Sligsby now leads the Laser fleet, followed by Vasilj Xvogar and Matais del Solar. In the RS:X Board fleet, Martin Gavariaux took the lead with Michael Lancey on the second place. Allison Shreeve leads the women's fleet, followed by Alisha Kawalla and Belinda Stowell. Nicky Bethwaite leads the Yngling fleet while Katie Spithill finished second.
In the 49er class, Nathan Outerridhe and Chris Nicholson are the first and second placers. Sarah Blanck, Tanya Elias, and Krystal Weir are the top three placers in the Laser Radial class while Mathew Belcher and Nick Behrens, Nathan Wilmot and Malcolm Page, and Tobias Etter and Felix Steiger round up the top three in the 470 men's class. In the 470 women's class, on the other hand, Kathrin Kadelbach and Frederike Ziegelmayer, Alana Slingsby and Tessa Parkinson head the fleet.
