Argentina Dominates 29er World Championship
MONDAY, 29 JANUARY 2007
Teams from Argentina have swept the top seven places in the 29er World Championship held at the Club Nautico de San Isidro, Argentina.
Argentine pair Matas Gainza Eurnekian and Federico Villambrosa won the championship title. Pepe Bettini and Matas Keller and Ignacio Fernandez Besada and Tigris Martirosjan took the second and third places, respectively.
Sophie Weguelin and Sophie Ainsworth from UK won the women's event and placed 8th in the overall standing. Swiss team Nathalie Keller and Irina Hotz won the Silver fleet event.
