FRIDAY, 27 JULY 2007
The Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy, host sailing venue for the London 2012 Olympic Games, has appointed Fast Track Sailing as its public relations agency. With UK offices in London and Portsmouth, the agency will be best positioned to communicate messages to the local community as well as on the national and international stage.
The Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy, based in Weymouth, Dorset, was formed in 1999 as a not for profit company. As well as providing a training and event facility for the local community and beyond, the Academy has also contributed to substantial local economic regeneration which is estimated to be in the region of £10 million annually.
Mark Stubbings, Chief Executive of The Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy commented; "Fast Track Sailing has a proven track record of carrying out excellent marketing and public relations activity in the marine industry. We feel that they are simply the best choice to help us promote the Academy's work, and the services and benefits we offer."
Inga Leask, Director of Fast Track Sailing added; "Having already worked with the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy on various projects in the past, we are very much looking forward to expanding our relationship with them. We are extremely excited about the opportunity to promote this world class Academy and British sailing in the run up to the 2012 Olympic Games."
