Raffles Marina Singapore Set for Final Days Racing
THURSDAY, 30 AUGUST 2007
All skippers and crew are poised for the third and final day of racing at Raffles Marina. Although the points for the podium places would seem to be decided there are two races to go and the drop race is yet to be included into the scoring. Most boats have suffered from a bad race and by being able to drop that result may have a big effect on the overall standings by the end of the day. The two windward/leeward races will also sort the men from the boys and as to who goes home with the silverware.
At this time of the year the weather can be quite unpredictable as local storms can build up quite quickly. Some crews have been working feverishly to repair the damage from last week.
On Sunday 26th a Beneficiary Race will be held with proceeds going to a charity to be advised. Everyone is welcome to attend and rides on participating boats can be arranged.
