Environmental Measure at RYA Green Blue Conference

The Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy (WPNSA), host sailing venue for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, is to highlight measures taken to make the site environmentally friendly at the Royal Yachting Association Green Blue Annual Conference tomorrow.
As well as discussing steps already taken by the Academy to help protect the marine environment, John Tweed, Director of Development at WPNSA, will also focus on future plans at the conference to be held on Friday 28th September at the National Oceanography Club in Southampton.
WPNSA, based in Weymouth, Dorset, was formed in 1999 as a not for profit company. As well as providing a training and event facility for the local community and beyond, the Academy has also contributed to substantial local economic regeneration, estimated to be in the region of £10 million annually.
