2008 US Team Racing Championship on Aug. 15-17

The 2008 US Team Racing Championship for the George R. Hinman Trophy will be held from August 15 to 17 in Erie, Pennsylvania. This is organized by the Erie Yacht Club. The racing area will be at the Presque Island Bay, right off the Erie Yacht Club Clubhouse.
Raced in three-boat, six-person teams, it has been a popular event for post-collegiate sailors. This year's Racing Championship is sponsored by Rolex, Nautica, and LaserPerformance, with an entry application fee of $50. Sixteen teams will be selected by the US Team Racing Championship Committee based on resumé qualifications. Races start at 10 a.m. today, and the awarding ceremony will take place on the last day of the race.
The trophy was named after George R. Hinman to recognize his notable contributions in the world of yachting.
